In conjuction with the Olympia Trans Discussion Group, G.A.S.S. also offers meetings in Olympia. Currently meetings are held on the THIRD Saturday of each month, from 7-9PM. Note: new meeting location is 311 9th Ave. SE, Olympia, WA 98501 (Fertile Grounds house). Map/Directions

Regular meetings generally involve a bit of socializing, and a discussion of topics of interest. Snacks are usually available. $5.00 - $10.00 donation is suggested. The confidentiality and privacy of all attendees is always respected.

Often, after regular meetings, members of the group gather at a local restaurant to continue our conversations. Guests are welcome to accompany us, as well.

On months that have a FIFTH Friday, G.A.S.S. presents its "Fifth Friday Social", a more casual gathering that also usually takes place at the Rainbow Center.

Calling all TransMen! We do want you to participate in the general G.A.S.S. meetings and events, so please feel very welcome to join in any of the events listed above. We need your energy and creativity. There are also F-t-M specific gatherings in both Tacoma and Olympia. Contact the Rainbow Center phone number at the bottom of this page to inquire about the Tacoma meetings. Check out the New Boyz Club website for further info on the Olympia meetings.

G.A.S.S. members also get together on a regular basis for "Movie Night". This generally occurs on the fourth Saturday of each month. Check schedule at right, or contact us for more information on these meetings.

G.A.S.S. takes its show on the road each month with "Club Mixers" at various South Sound clubs and lounges. These take place generally (but not always) on the first Saturday of each month. Please check the schedule at right to verify when and where. All Club Mixers begin at 8PM. Come on down to the club nearest you and party with us!

We encourage you to come to one of our meetings to get to know us. You don't have to come dressed (though it's a lot more fun if you do!). If you can't dress at home, you can change inside our building. We are really looking forward to meeting you. By meeting-time, parking is generally ample along the street.

Significant others, family and friends are also very welcome at any of our meetings. Additionally, G.A.S.S. offers dedicated meetings strictly for our "SOFFAs" (significant others, family, friends and allies) upon request. Please contact us if you would like to attend one of these meetings. Such meetings are designed to address the special concerns of those who are are trying to cope with and understand why their spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends, child or friend would want to crossdress or actually permanently change their gender. This group is generally facilitated by a person also dealing with these issues but also ready to provide support and education for those seeking to better understand the many forms of transgenderism. We do ask that the transgendered person NOT attend these meetings, so that our SOFFAs may feel free to discuss these issues in a less inhibited manner.
